The sweat kit contains 20 pads, 20 EXSUPATCH® and 1 handling clip. The pads have 2 distinct parts: the pilocarpine solution for stimulation and the electrolyte solution for contact. EXSUPATCH® is then applied to collect the sweat. Everything is handled by the pliers to avoid any contact between the practitioner and the patient.
An innovation from EXSUDOSE®, EXSPATCH® is a single-use device which has the shape of a small inverted dome. Positioned at
the location of the pilocarpine pad previously cleaned after stimulation, it protects the area while promoting the appearance of native sweat. After 15 minutes of sweating, the electrode is placed directly in contact with the skin through the orifice of the capsule removed from its cover. This device does not require any handling of sweat, which reduces the risk of changes in its condition. The patient is also free to move.
Made from special pre-soaked single-use cotton, the pads are placed in the appropriate housings of the MICROSTIM® in order to excite the sweat glands. The large buffer contains 1% pilocarpine nitrate for the anode. The small buffer contains electrolyte, 1% potassium sulfate K2SO4 for the cathode. They are protected in a double blister which bears their expiry date.
The clamp allows easy handling of the buffers to ensure the test in the best conditions.
