Digitimer has launched the long-awaited DS8R. A cutting-edge stimulator that allows scientific researchers to provide biphasic and balanced stimuli under manual or software control.
Not only can the stimulator be used as a standalone isolated stimulator with full control via the front panel, but parameters can also be changed using Windows PC control software provided via a USB interface. This software provides a virtual front panel for the stimulator, but more importantly incorporates an API allowing the operator to implement control from custom software. Special edition software can also be provided to researchers interested in experimenting at higher frequencies (10kHz) than the standard unit allows. Protocols inspired by “Russian” stimulation methods are possible with this software, as an option.
